HSA, Clarion Sign 3PL Tenant to 382K SF

Chicago-based HSA Commercial Real Estate and New York-based Clarion Partners LLC  signed a 381,874-square-foot, long-term lease with Kenco Logistics Services at the Heartland Corporate Center, a 757,880-square-foot warehouse development in Shorewood, IL.

The lease brings the property to 100% occupancy. Kenco, one of the nation’s largest privately held third-party logistics firms, will take occupancy in December.

“Despite the headwinds in the economy as a result of the pandemic, industrial leasing activity has remained really strong for well-located distribution centers as businesses and consumers have come to expect same-day or expedited delivery for everything they order – now more than ever,” said Robert Smietana, CEO of HSA Commercial Real Estate.

The lease with Kenco is the second executed at the Shorewood property, following a 375,000-square-foot lease with Des Plaines, IL-based DSC Logistics last November.

Colliers International’s David Bercu and Matthew Stauber represented ownership. Cushman & Wakefield’s Sean Henrick represented the tenant.
