Houston Leads the Country in Imports — Again
The Houston area was ranked first in the U.S. for total goods exported last year, according to a Department of Commerce report. The export value was more than $97 million, beating out New York, Seattle and Los Angeles. The total also represented the fourth year in a row in which the area outpaced the nation in total goods exported.
The metro also led the way in exporting goods to potential Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) markets. Approximately $36.2 billion worth of products were exported in 2015.
