Holland JV Acquires 10 Acres in Mission Valley, Plans $500M MF Complex
Joint venture partners Lowe, AECOM Capital and Atlas Hotels sold four residential development parcels in San Diego’s Mission Valley for $82 million. The buyer was a JV owned by Vancouver, WA-based developer Holland Partner Group and North America Sekisui House, LLC (NASH), which plans a $500-million multifamily complex with 840 residences.
Construction on the first phase of the apartment community will begin in early 2019, with delivery of the first units as early as spring 2021, and final units of the complex delivered by early 2023.
The 10.13-acre site is part of the planned mixed-use renovation and redevelopment of the Town and Country San Diego, a 40-acre urban resort hotel and conference center on Hotel Circle North. Lowe plans a $70-million renovation of the 688-room resort, and will restore eight acres of habitat as well as create a three-acre public park along the San Diego River that runs through the property.
JLL’s Darcy Miramontes, Kip Malo, Bob Patterson, Lynn LaChapelle and Sach Kirpalani represented the sellers.
