Hobbs, NM Moves Forward on $64M Rec Facility

Hobbs, NM is moving forward on a state-of-the-art recreational facility. The public-private project will cost $63.5 million, with the J.F. Maddox Foundation, Haydon Building Corp. and Barker Rinker Seacrat Architecture collaborating. The development is anticipated to generate approximately 300 construction jobs.

The facility will offer meeting areas, and an indoor soccer field, lap pool and therapy pool. An indoor track and recreational pool will also be part of the center. A construction launch has not yet been announced. The project will take approximately 22 months from groundbreaking to completion.
