Hiway 80 Rescue Begins Triumph Village Construction
Hiway 80 Rescue Mission launched development of two housing cottages that will provide long-term housing to 24 homeless men in Tyler, TX. The faith-based developer is funding the project, called Triumph Village, with help from a $430,169 Affordable Housing Program grant from Austin Bank and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas.
The cottages, which are slated for completion in late 2018, are part of a long-term plan to provide six residences. The site is at 12781 SH 64 West, with construction focused on both renovating existing homes, improving curb appeal and building the above-mentioned cottage units. Many of the Triumph Village residents will be those who have completed Hiway 80 Rescue Mission programs, and will be employed in Tyler.
