Hines Begins Construction on The Preston

Close to two months after unveiling plans for the The Preston, Hines and investment partner Cresset-Diversified QOZ Fund started construction on the 373-unit luxury apartment complex. The development is going north on the site of the former Houston Chronicle parking garage at Preston and Milam Streets, in the CBD.  The 46-story high tower is adjacent to another Hines project, the one-million-square-foot office tower at 800 Texas Ave., which it is developing in conjunction with Ivanhoe Cambridge.

The Preston is scheduled for completion in Q3 2022, with pre-leasing beginning in October 2021.
