Hilton’s Curio Collection Expands in Little Italy

Carté Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton, a first-of-its-kind lifestyle hotel, opened in San Diego’s Little Italy neighborhood. The 16-floor, 246-guestroom LEED Silver Certified hotel property reflects the community’s nautical heritage and architecture and features modern luxuries and amenities, tailored to the curious traveler.

For instance, the lobby includes abstract metal screens resembling fishing nets that are woven throughout the first level, paying homage to Little Italy’s heritage as a fishing village. Guest rooms reflect the connection to the historic nautical roots of Little Italy’s residents with upscale and subtle nautical themes, including abstract blue watercolor headwall vinyl, custom woods and metals, as well as unique and modern lighting fixtures.

Carté Hotel’s Henri Birmele says, “Carté Hotel will play an integral part in bringing together both guests and locals alike to celebrate Little Italy’s heritage this fall.”

Operated by Interstate Hotels & Resorts, Carté Hotel is located at 401 West Ash St. The hotel was designed by The Manchette Studio.

About Dennis Kaiser

Dennis Kaiser is Vice President of Public Relations and Communications for Connect Creative. Dennis is a communications leader with more than 40 years of experience including as a journalist and in corporate and agency marketing communications roles.
