Hillwood to Begin 1M-SF Joliet Logistics Park

Hillwood acquired an 85-acre site in Joliet, IL, with plans to build a 992,640-square-foot speculative distribution center. The Dallas developer will immediately begin construction on the complex, named Joliet Logistics Park, the largest spec development to date in the Chicago-area market.

The targeted completion date on the project at Millsdale Road and SH 53 is mid-2017. The distribution center will have capacity to expand up to 1.5 million square feet.

“Joliet has continually been a great market for e-commerce and logistics tenants, primarily because it offers an outstanding labor pool and excellent transportation infrastructure,” said Dan Schoenheider with Hillwood.

FCL Builders is the general contractor and CBRE brokers Traci Payette and John Suerth are the leasing agents.
