HERE Maps Out Big HQ Space at 100 North Riverside

Mapping and location platform HERE Technologies, has opted for Chicago as its North American headquarters. The company will occupy more than 275,000 square feet across eight floors at 100 North Riverside Plaza.

“HERE could have chosen any city in the country as their Americas headquarters, but they chose Chicago because of the talent pool, infrastructure and stability our great city offers,” said Mayor Rahm Emanuel. “The HERE Americas headquarters will be a strong addition to Chicago’s business community, and we look forward to their continued long-term investment and job creation in Chicago.”

At Netherlands-based HERE, COO Angel Mendez said the company values Chicago for “its tremendous workforce talent pool, domain expertise across industries and the city’s history of innovation in transportation and mobility.” In addition to its downtown Chicago regional headquarters, HERE has recently invested in its Chicago garage facility, where HERE True HD mapping vehicles are maintained and deployed.
