Health Center Opens Its Doors in Brighton Park

Executives from Skender joined with U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin and Ald. Edward Burke to cut the ribbon on Esperanza Brighton Park, a 26,000-square-foot health center in the Southwest Side’s Brighton Park neighborhood.

The new facility, which opened last Friday, provides improved access to healthcare services for local residents who have been designated as medically-underserved by the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration.

The two-story facility at 4700 S. California Ave. includes clinical office space, 30 exam rooms, space for additional diagnostic and treatment services and a retail pharmacy, along with 69 parking spaces.

For the 20,000 new patients that Esperanza Brighton Park is expected to treat, the facility provides convenient access to public transportation.

Skender, serving as general contractor, collaborated with architect JGMA and McNitt Consulting to complete the project.
