Hartman Promotes Mark Torok to COO

Houston-based Hartman, sponsor of Texas-centric commercial real estate investment programs with more than $750 million in assets under management, promoted Mark T. Torok to COO. He will retain his duties as general counsel and corporate secretary.

Torok will lead the execution of strategies developed by the executive team and oversee capital markets and capital raising efforts. He will continue to manage Hartman’s in-house legal department.

“We are proud that Mark has agreed to expand his position in the organization and look forward to his leadership to help us achieve our goals,” said Al Hartman.

Prior to joining Hartman more than five years ago, Torok founded The Torok Law Firm P.C., where his practice focused on real estate, securities, private placements and business law. Before starting his own law firm, he was assistant general counsel and assistant secretary for the United Services Automobile Association, a property and casualty insurance company.
