Hankey, Jamison ‘Top Out’ $300M Koreatown Tower
A construction milestone has been reached at the $300-million Kurve on Wilshire residential tower in Los Angeles’ Koreatown. The developers, Hankey Investment Company, LP and Jamison Properties, LP, topped out the 23-story building located in the 2900 block of Wilshire.
Hankey Investment Company’s W. Scott Dobbins says, “As a mixed-use luxury complex, we chose to create a brand that reflected a name and the sophistication of the project, yet nod to its adjacency to Koreatown itself, hence using K as the lead in its branding. Given it also embraces the adjacency of the two neighborhoods, the name Kurve on Wilshire truly embodies the new living environment that is being built here.”
The 644-unit residential tower sits on top of a six-story podium housing the building’s 1,100-car parking garage. A one-acre park and amenity deck will top the podium. Common area amenities include a fitness center, clubhouse, pool, spa, business center, private open-air dining areas, BBQs, firepits, dog park, zen garden and a viewing deck.
