H&M Spinoff Raising Curtains in DTLA
H&M is bringing its Collection of Style (COS) brand to DTLA’s Olympic Theater. The high-end designer spinoff has reportedly leased 9,835 square feet of space previously occupied by a lighting fixture store.
Listing agent Brigham Yen reported the deal for the theater that opened in 1927, and was named in honor of the 1932 Olympic Games. COS will complete an interior build-out, as well as restore the exterior Olympic vertical sign, one of the only original features that remains intact.
The Downtown COS is expected to open in about a year. The Olympic Theater is located on Eighth St., across the street from the Broadway Trade Center that’s being redeveloped as a mixed-use project.
