Gulf Coast Launches Lifestyle Center in Garden Oaks

Gulf Coast Commercial Group launched construction on Block 14 at Garden Oaks, a nearly 18,000-square-foot neighborhood lifestyle center at 3201 N. Shepherd Dr. in Houston’s Garden Oaks neighborhood. Tenant delivery is anticipated by this July.

The project incorporates up to seven retail spaces. Gulf Coast Commercial and leasing partner Capital Retail Properties are targeting a variety of daily need convenience tenants.

Both endcaps have been newly leased, including 3,100 square feet to sandwich chain McAlister’s Deli and 2,700 square feet to hometown salad shop Salata. Danny Miller oversaw the transaction on behalf of Gulf Coast Commercial, while McAlister’s was represented by Clay Graham of Fox & Graham and Salata by Emily Durham of Waterman Steele Real Estate Advisors.

“After many years of quiet growth in the suburbs, we’re excited to raise our visibility in two of central Houston’s most exciting and rapidly gentrifying neighborhoods,” said Gulf Coast Commercial’s Tom Lile.
