Greenwich Village Apartments Trade at Healthy Profit

Meridian Investment Sales sold 159-161 Bleecker St., a mixed-use, elevator building in Greenwich Village, for $36 million. Managing directors Lipa Lieberman and Abie Kassin, associate Brian Gladstone and senior executive managing director David Schechtman represented the seller, Joyland, and procured the buyer, EcoRise Development.

159-161 Bleecker is an eight-story, 30,295-net-rentable-square-foot mixed-use building on the north side of Bleecker Street, between Sullivan and Thompson streets.
The property is located in the South Village Historic District, and contains ground-floor retail space with 20-foot ceiling heights, four office units, and 20 residential apartments, as well as an elevator that provides service from the lower level through the penthouse units.
The property last sold in 2014 for $22 million, a deal also arranged by Lieberman, Kassin and Schechtman.
