Grand National Business Park Plans Unveiled
Hines acquired 107 acres at Sam Houston Tollway/Beltway 8 and Gessner Road in northwest Houston from Maxaam Inc. The developer’s plan for the acreage is Grand National Business Park, consisting of 1.5 million square feet of industrial/logistics space. Also planned are an amenity retail center and a hotel.
The logistics park will be built in two phases, with the first phase consisting of 500,000 square feet of logistics space. Leasing for the project will be managed by Jim Foreman and Allison Bergman at Cushman Wakefield.
When completed, Grand National Business Park will offer space ranging from 20,000 square feet to one million square feet. Hines is also marketing land for retail and non-logistics uses. “After considering several strategic options, we carefully selected Hines as our counterpart for this transaction,” said Maxaam’s Charles Hurwitz. “We have owned this property for years, and I am looking forward to witnessing Hines take the property through its next stage of development.”
