Google Grabs Space at PGIM’s Kirkland Urban MXU Development
Google confirmed this week its long-anticipated acquisition of two buildings at Kirkland Urban, a new, transformative mixed-use development in downtown Kirkland, WA. The seller was a partnership that includes PGIM, Ryan Cos., and Talon Private Capital, which developed the 12-acre property project at 6th Street S. and Central Way. The sales price was undisclosed.
The acquisition includes roughly 400,000 square feet of office and retail space contained in the North (204,178 sf) and Central (198,070 sf) buildings, as well as an underground parking garage. The developer retained two development sites and a 185-unit apartment building at the 1.2-million-square-foot office, retail, multifamily and entertainment MXU development.
Google’s Eric Young said, “This new campus will provide room for future growth, and further cements our commitment to the Kirkland community.”
Employees are expected to start moving in next year, when the first building delivers.
