Gold’s Gym Sells Shops at Walzem

Gold’s Gym sold the Shops at Walzem, a 55,526-square-foot retail center on the east side of San Antonio. Gold’s Gym occupies approximately 42,926 square feet, or 90% of the property at 7650 FM 78.

The 20-year-old property is situated approximately three miles from Randolph Air Force Base, which is home to 15,942 military members. In addition to Gold’s Gym, the tenant line-up includes Beauty Supply, Iglesia Pentecostal and Sun Sews Alterations.

Aaron Johnson, John Taylor, Chris Murphy and Ross Crawford of JLL represented the seller. Investment sales specialist and KW Commercial director Mark Sher negotiated on behalf of the undisclosed buyer. Sher recently negotiated the acquisition of another Gold’s Gym-anchored retail center in the St. Louis metro.
