Global Law Firm Leases 130K-SF at Hudson Yards

Global law firm Cooley LLP has signed a deal to relocate its New York headquarters to 55 Hudson Yards, leasing 130,000 square feet across five floors near the top of the 51-story building.

“We will be working alongside many of our clients, and look forward to joining them in a stunning new environment that will be among the world’s most sophisticated law firm office spaces,” said Joe Conroy, Cooley’s CEO. Crain’s New York Business has recognized Cooley’s New York office as a Best Place to Work for four consecutive years.

The tower at 55 Hudson Yards, an anticipated LEED Gold, 1.3-million-gross-square-foot building, was designed by acclaimed global architect A. Eugene Kohn of Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF).

Hudson Yards will eventually include more than 18 million square feet of space, with more than 100 shops and restaurants and more than 4,000 residences. Its leasing effort is drawing new office tenants to Midtown — and driving down the vacancy rate.
