Giant Mixed-Use Development for Bronx Waterfront
A long-vacant site along the Harlem River waterfront will become Bronx Point, a mixed-use development that will eventually include up to 1,045 apartments, along with education space, open space, a multiplex theater, a food and beverage hall and a home for the Universal Hip-Hop Museum.
The fist phase will feature approximately 600 units of permanently affordable housing, on a site adjacent to Mill Pond Park and the 145th St. Bridge. The additional apartments will be built in Phase Two.
“We believe this will be a project that South Bronx residents will be proud of for years to come,” said Josue Sanchez, project manager at L+M Development Partners, which will develop the city-owned site in partnership with Type A Projects.
