German Grocer Planting San Antonio Stake

Lidl, a German-headquartered grocery store, acquired 5.3 acres at the intersection of Alamo Ranch and Lone Star Parkways in Alamo Ranch, TX. The buyer will build a 30,000-square-foot grocery store, which will anchor an as-yet unnamed, planned retail development on the San Antonio metro’s far northwest side.

The retail center, which is being developed by landlord/developer Abiso Development LLC, will include a 30,000-square-foot building adjacent to the grocery store, and a multi-tenant building. Abiso is also close to executing a ground lease with a national restaurant chain on a corner pad. Construction is anticipated to begin in Q4 2017, with delivery planned for Q3 2018.

Gene Williams with CBRE represented Abiso Development in the Lidl transaction, and is the leasing advisor for the remainder of the project.
