GenX, CSCREF Provide $38M Construction Loan for Cambridge Hotel
GenX Capital Partners and Capital Stack CRE Finance provided a $37.7 million construction loan for The 907 Main Hotel, a 42,000-square-foot, 67-room boutique hotel in Cambridge’s Central Square.
The project is being developed by Patrick Barrett III, a Cambridge-based developer and attorney, along with partners T.O. and Timothy Johnson. The project will consist of a street level restaurant, a rooftop bar with views of downtown Boston and Toscanini’s Ice Cream, a longtime neighborhood ice cream parlor.
The financing was originated and underwritten in collaboration between real estate investment banking firm GenX and Capital Stack CRE Finance, a commercial real estate financing company. The transaction was funded by a New York-based real estate hedge fund. Terms of the financing were not disclosed.
