Gaslamp’s Hotel Solamar Faces Major Revamp

San Diego’s boutique Hotel Solamar, which is owned by Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, is reportedly getting a full renovation. The property, which is located in San Diego’s popular Gaslamp neighborhood, will have a “high-end Mediterranean style” when the 235-room hotel’s overhaul is completed in spring.

Hotel Solamar currently has about 8,000 square feet of meeting space, a rooftop deck with a pool and bar, as well as the upscale Jsix Restaurant and Bar. All guestrooms, the ballroom, meeting rooms and the lobby are included in the makeover.
