First Western Brings Verizon Wireless to 6 Corners

First Western Properties has brokered a 10-year lease to bring a Verizon Wireless flagship store to the 6 Corners corridor of the North Side’s Portage Park neighborhood. The 2,455-square-foot deal, which replaces a Vitamin Shoppe, achieved the highest rental rate in the area, according to FWP’s Paul Tsakiris.

Located at 4000-4024 N. Cicero Ave., the new Verizon store sits below 64 residential units. FWP represented ownership of the property.

The 36,239-square-foot 4000-4024 N. Cicero enjoys strong pedestrian and vehicular traffic, according to FWP. Other tenants at the property include Jimmy John’s, Pearle Vision, Molecular Imaging and NovaCare.

Verizon is one of more than a dozen new retail tenants to open in recent months along the corridor, according to the Six Corners Association. It’s among the city’s oldest commercial districts.
