Fincantieri Marine Group Inks 20K-SF Office Lease in D.C.
Newmark has secured a 20,102-square-foot office lease for the Fincantieri Marine Group at Met Square located in Washington D.C.
Met Square is located at 655 15th Street NW and encompasses 670,000 square feet over 12 floors. The LEED Gold-certified property recently underwent a $60-million renovation that included all new lobby finishes, atrium, facade glass and mechanical systems. Fincantieri Marine Group is the U.S. subsidiary of Italian enterprise Fincantieri and is one of the world’s largest shipbuilders. The company employs 19,000 shipbuilding professionals in 20 shipyards across five continents.
Brendan Owen, Ed Clark, Kate Kaltenborn and Max Planning of Newmark represented the landlord group of Boston Properties, Blackstone and EQ Office in the transaction. The tenant was represented by Michael Altman and Greg Culver of Cushman & Wakefield.
