Facebook Gives John Buck’s 151 N. Franklin a “Like”

Already a sizable downtown tenant with more than 100,000 square feet of space at 191 N. Wacker Dr., Facebook confirmed that it is more than doubling its Loop office presence. The social media giant has signed a lease for 263,000 square feet at the John Buck Company’s 151 N. Franklin St., for most of the recently completed office tower’s available space. The property is anchored by CNA Financial.

“Our continued investment in this community underscores its strong talent pipeline and thriving technology ecosystem, which make it a great location to expand our Global Marketing Solutions and Recruiting teams,” said Matty de Castro, Facebook’s U.S. head of industry.

Cushman & Wakefield represented Facebook in leasing negotiations, while NKF spoke for JBC, the Chicago Tribune reported. It’s not clear whether Facebook will retain its 191 N. Wacker presence.
