Exxon Mobil Partners with Plains All American on Pipeline Infrastructure
Exxon Mobil and Plains All American Pipeline LP are teaming up to build a multibillion-dollar pipeline infrastructure stretching from Wink and Midland, TX to the Texas Gulf Coast. Upon completion, the infrastructure will transport more than one million barrels of crude oil and condensate from the Permian Basin to delivery points in Baytown, Beaumont and Webster, TX.
For construction purposes, priority will be given to existing pipeline corridors to reduce potential environmental and community disruptions, according to both companies. The pipeline will add on to Plains All American’s proposed $2.4-billion investment geared toward building out infrastructure in the Permian Basin.
Exxon Mobil already indicated its intent to triple oil and gas production in the Permian by 2025, and to spend more than $2 billion on transportation and terminal upgrades in West Texas.
