Essex Realty’s Mond Brokers South Shore Sale

Essex Realty Group’s Brian Mond has brokered a deal for 7700 S. South Shore Dr., a 27-unit multifamily property in the South Side’s South Shore neighborhood. Buyer and seller were not disclosed.  The property traded for $900,000, and joins a series of apartment properties to change hands recently in the neighborhood.

Built in 1962, the building is known as a 4+1, with nine two-bed/two-bath units, nine two-bed/one-bath units, five one-bed/one bath units and four studio apartments. There are also 20 parking spaces.

The property is located less than three miles from the University of Chicago, and less than a mile from two Metra stations.

Essex Realty notes that the South Shore neighborhood’s proximity to Lake Shore Drive makes it accessible, easy to navigate, and a very attractive rental area for prospective tenants. It remains one of the most densely-populated neighborhoods on the South Side.
