Essex Realty Brokers Sales of 2 New Builds

In two separate transactions, Essex Realty Group has arranged the sales of a new-construction apartment property in the North Side’s Wicker Park/Bucktown neighborhood, and another new build in suburban Glenview, IL.

The 31-unit 1545 W. North Ave. in Chicago (pictured) was sold on behalf of developer Sedgwick Properties and traded to Chicago’s Supera family, who paid $12.15 million. An Essex team of Doug Imber, Kate Varde and Clay Maxfield represented Sedgwick.

In the other deal, an out-of-state private capital investor acquired 1202 Waukegan Rd., a 36-unit, new construction property in Glenview. Riverforest Development LLC hired Essex principal Matt Welke to represent them in the sale. The buyer in the $13.1-million sale was represented by Essex’ Doug Fisher and Vic Ciancetta.
