Essex Crossing Tops Out on 7th of 9 Sites

Delancey Street Associates (DSA) topped out 202 Broome St., a 14-story mixed-use building within the Essex Crossing complex on the Lower East Side. 202 Broome will include 175,000 square feet of Class A office, 83 luxury condominiums and 34,500 square feet of retail, and is the seventh of nine Essex Crossing sites to top out.

“With luxury condominiums, groundbreaking Class A office space, The Market Line and Broome Street Gardens all under one roof, 202 Broome St. will be one of Essex Crossing’s most dynamic sites,” said Charles Bendit, co-CEO of Taconic Investment Partners. Taconic is joined in the DSA consortium by BFC Partners, L+M Development Partners, the Prusik Group and the Goldman Sachs Urban Investment Group.

The overall project, which will be more than 90% open by 2021, will include 1,079 units of housing, with more than half affordable. The entire project is expected to be finished by 2024.
