Equity Residential Snags Denver’s SkyHouse Uptown for $140M
Equity Residential acquired SkyHouse Uptown, a 354-unit, high-rise residential community in downtown Denver for a reported $139.75 million. The project was completed in 2017 by developers Simpson Housing and Novare Group.
The 25-story property at 1776 N. Broadway St. includes 6,650 square feet of street-level retail and parking for 485 vehicles. It boasts a top-quality amenity package, including a rooftop pool, open air lounge, fireplaces and outdoor grilling stations, fitness and business centers, a clubhouse/game room, storage units, bike, ski and snowboard storage, and a 24/7 concierge.
JLL’s David Martin, Pamela Koster and Mike Grippi represented the sellers, Simpson and Novare.
Koster says, “The SkyHouse transaction reaffirms the commitment of established institutional capital to the expanding central business district multifamily market, and is a testament to the continued strong outlook for apartment rent growth and leasing in downtown Denver.”
