EQ Rebrands Former Warehouse as 350 N. Orleans
EQ Office has taken the wraps off its transformation of a circa-1970s warehouse that has been reimagined as 350 North Orleans. The Blackstone portfolio company is billing the revamped property, formerly called the Apparel Center, as “the premier large floorplate building in Chicago.”
EQ is transforming 350 North Orleans through a combination of enhancements, including a nearly $20 million investment in the building’s façade, a 10,000-square-foot fitness center and a large tenant lounge and private roof deck. Blackstone purchased the River North property, once home to the world’s largest collection of apparel showrooms, in 2015.
“Work continues to evolve, and today’s leading companies are putting employees first and using their workspace as a tool to support innovation, foster community and inspire the best talent,” said EQ Office’s David Moore. “350 North Orleans has a rich history, and is a place where companies can leverage our unique advantages to thrive.”
