Enterprise Community Partners Names Sarah Wartell to Board of Trustees

Sarah Wartell, president of D.C.-based nonprofit think tank Urban Institute has been named to the Board of Trustees of Maryland-based affordable housing development nonprofit Enterprise Community Partners.

In 2012, Wartell became the third president of the Urban Institute since its founding in 1968. The organization leads more than 550 social scientists, policy experts, and communicators in pioneering economic and social science research and policy. Wartell has expertise working in both the public and private sectors with community development, consumer finance, asset building and housing finance.

“Sarah’s extensive expertise in social and economic policy, combined with her passionate commitment to strengthening communities, will bring new and dynamic insights to Enterprise,” said Priscilla Almodovar, CEO at Enterprise Community Partners. “We are delighted to welcome Sarah to the Enterprise family and grateful for her partnership as we continue our work to create and expand opportunity nationwide.”
