Ensign Group Broadens S.A. Presence with 376-Bed Buy

California-headquartered Ensign Group struck a deal with Granite Investment Group to acquire three skilled nursing facilities throughout the San Antonio area. The buy increases the number of San Antonio-area skilled centers owned by the San Juan Capistrano-based buyer to a total of eight.

The portfolio consists of:

• The 128-bed Hunters Pond Rehabilitation and Healthcare, 9903 Hunters Pond

• The 124-bed Pecan Valley Rehabilitation and Healthcare, 3838 E. Southcross

• The 124-bed Westover Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare, 9922 SH 151

“We are very excited to add these ideally-located operations to our growing presence in the greater San Antonio area,” said Ensign’s Barry Port. He added that the acquisitions boost operating synergies in one of Ensign’s strongest markets in Texas. The properties will be operated by Keystone Care LLC, a Texas-based subsidiary of Ensign.
