Ensign Group Acquires Three Skilled Nursing Facilities
The Ensign Group solidified its presence in Texas with the acquisition of three skilled nursing properties totaling 418 beds. The buyer, based out of San Juan Capistrano, CA, struck the deal with Preferred Care Inc., the troubled nursing home operator that declared bankruptcy in late 2017.
The portfolio consists of:
- The 146-bed Keller Oaks Healthcare Center, 8703 Davis Blvd., Keller
- 162-bed Kirkwood Manor, 2590 Loop 337, New Braunfels
- The 110-bed Treasure Hills Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, 2101 Treasure Hills Blvd., Harlingen (rebranded as Golden Palms Retirement and Health Center)
The facilities will be operated by Keystone Care Inc., which is Ensign’s Texas-based portfolio subsidiary.
