Edens Adds Tenants as Part of South Bay Expansion

As part of the 750,000-square-foot, five city-block expansion underway at Edens’ South Bay in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood, the developer has brought in four new retail tenants. Combined, the four new tenants total more than 16,000 square feet.

One of the four, apparel and accessories retailer Express, has already opened its doors. It’s slated to be joined in spring 2019 by Totto Ramen and 110 Grill. Red Wing Shoes is scheduled to open next summer.

They’ll be joining 10 retailers that have opened at South Bay throughout 2018, including AMC Theatres, Nike, Converse, ULTA, J.P. Licks, LOFT, Carter’s, Starbucks, Chipotle and Forever 21 Red.

As part of the “Made in Dorchester” initiative to connect South Bay to the surrounding neighborhood, Edens has provided illuminated tree-lined walkways, programmed outdoor spaces and scenic landscaping. Edens has also engaged resident blacksmiths, mural artists, carpenters and metalworkers to create custom works throughout  South Bay.
