Eaton Corp. Announces El Paso Expansion

Eaton Corp., an international company with headquarters in Ireland, announced plans to expand into El Paso by taking over a facility that once housed Leviton Manufacturing in West El Paso. The company, which has three factories in Ciudad Juarez, will open its new, 270,846-square-foot factory in the first half of 2019, with 200 employees.

To qualify for tax incentives, Eaton is required to invest at least $15.7 million in the El Paso facility at 7800 Trade Center Ave. in the Northwest Corporate Center Industrial Park. The investment includes the facility’s purchasing cost. Eaton has seven years to create the 200 jobs. The company will seek out workers, including engineers, with manufacturing experience.

Once operational, the El Paso factory will manufacture switchboards for electrical distribution systems, as well as other electrical products.
