Easterly Acquires 117K-SF DHA-Aurora

Easterly Government Properties Inc. acquired DHA-Aurora, a 116,500-square-foot Defense Health Agency (GSA) structure. The 20-year-old facility at 16401 E. Centretech in Aurora, CO, a build-to-suit for the agency, underwent a large a renovation in 2018 upon execution of a new 15-year lease. The seller was undisclosed, however, in 2016, a receiver was appointed to oversee a portfolio of properties, including the GSA facility.

The building at 16401 E. Centretech Pkwy. in Aurora, CO is 87% leased to the DHA, which is in place until April 2034. The property hosts the operations of TRICARE, the DHA’s health insurance program. Specific functions within DHA – Aurora include its General Law Division, the Appeals, Hearings and Claims Collection Division, and the Program Integrity Office.
