Dunhill Partners Collects 214-Unit Bell Design District
Dunhill Partners acquired the Bell Design District Apartments at Hi Line Drive at Turtle Creek Boulevard near downtown Dallas. The locally based-based Dunhill acquired the 214-unit apartment complex from Bell Partners, which had owned the asset at 1900 Hi Line Dr. since 2012.
The sales price on the eight-year-old apartment complex was undisclosed; the asset has been assessed at $39.9 million. The new owner has re-branded the property as The Dunhill, and hired Lincoln Property Co. to take over management of the apartments.
Dunhill Partners, led by Bill Hutchinson, has been very busy in the Design District submarket of Dallas. Hutchinson headed an investment group that, in 2014, acquired a large part of the Design District. Dunhill is partnering on building the Virgin Hotel (across the street from its recently acquired apartment complex), an office building and high-rise residential tower.
