Duke Launches Spec Build in Low-Vacancy O’Hare Submarket
Duke Realty is constructing a 154,512-square-foot warehouse on a recently acquired 8.15-acre site at 901 Chase Ave. in Elk Grove Village, IL, within the O’Hare submarket. The building, which is being built on a speculative basis, is slated for delivery in January 2020.
“Demand for quality space in this submarket is exceptionally strong as evidenced by a less than 3% vacancy rate at the end of Q1 2019,” said Susan Bergdoll, VP of leasing and development for Duke Realty in Chicago. “901 Chase will be an excellent option for companies that want to be close to the airport and have ready highway access to the entire metro area.”
Plans call for a 32-foot clear building at 901 Chase, with 32 9-foot by 10-foot dock doors and two 12-foot by 14-foot drive-in doors, LED lighting and 1,600-amp electrical service. Indianapolis-based Duke has retained Avison Young’s Brian Colson as listing broker.
