Dock 72 Tops Out on Brooklyn Waterfront
The first Brooklyn office tower in three decades to be newly built from the ground up reached its full height October 5, 2017 in Brooklyn’s Navy Yard.
At the end of a ceremony on that day, workers lifted a steel beam signed by all the members of the Dock 72 team to the top floor of the uniquely-designed 17-story building, developed by Rudin Development, Boston Properties and WeWork, which will occupy 220,000 square feet at the tower.
The tower is part of a much larger redevelopment at the Navy Yard including:
– Building 77, a 1-million-square-foot property undergoing a $185-million renovation.
– Admiral’s Row, a $140-million redevelopment
– The expansion of Steiner Studios, the City’s largest film and television studio
