DiMella Shaffer, LPC Secure Approval for 220K-SF R&D Campus in Lexington

Boston-based architecture and design firm DiMella Shaffer along with development partner Lincoln Property Co. have secured approvals for a 220,000-square-foot mixed-use research and development campus in Lexington.

Located at 91 Hartwell Ave., the campus will feature a 95,000-square-foot laboratory facility and 125,000 square feet of office space within a campus designed to foster connections and encourage collaboration. The campus will also include a 502-space parking structure. The development team, led by Lincoln Property Company, also includes Paul Finger Associates, LEC Environmental and Nitsch Engineering.

“Across the state of Massachusetts, we’re currently working on 1.6 million square feet of science and tech space, an indicator of the tremendous growth this industry has seen since the bio-tech boom began in Cambridge in the 1980s,” said David Godfroy, associate principal at DiMella Shaffer. “With partners like Lincoln Property Company, we’re excited to continue to contribute to an industry responsible for so many valuable innovations in Greater Boston and beyond.”
