Diedrich in Chicago Will Head CA Ventures’ Investments

Chicago-based CA Ventures promoted John Diedrich to the newly created position of global head of investments. Diedrich will now oversee all acquisitions and development activity throughout the U.S., Europe and South America, with a specific emphasis on student and multifamily housing. He’s also charged with growing CA’s alternative investment products and EB-5 business through CAV Finance.

Diedrich joined CA in 2008 as a senior financial analyst, and was subsequently promoted to EVP of investments. He’s been involved in every deal executed by CA over his tenure with the company, during which its portfolio valuation has grown from $400 million to $10 billion.

“John is a trusted leader who, over the past decade, has been instrumental in growing CA into the global, diversified investment management company it is today,” said CEO Tom Scott. The firm plans to triple the value of its portfolio to $30 billion over the next five years.
