Developer Snags Land in Cedar Port, Plans 204K-SF Development
A developer operating under the name of Cedar Port NIT LP acquired 12.8 acres within Baytown’s Cedar Port Business Park. The new land owner, represented by Jason Tangen with Colliers International, is planning to develop a four-building, speculative industrial project totaling 204,175 square feet at FM 1405 and Oscar Nelson Drive.
Construction is expected to start in October, and Colliers will be handling leasing.
The seller, Trans-Global Solutions, was represented by Joel Michael SIOR of NAI Partners.
Cedar Port Industrial Park, which straddles SH 99 and FM 1405, is the largest, master-planned, rail-and-barge-served industrial park in the United States. The 15,000-acre park is served by Union Pacific and BNSF railroads, and is adjacent to the Cedar Bayou Barge Canal.
