Developer Buys Land, Plans 83 Marketplace

MDC Land Development paid $2.2 million to acquire 9 acres in Peoria, AZ at Happy Valley Road and 83rd Avenue. The Scottsdale, AZ-based developer is planning a 70,000-square-foot retail center dubbed 83 Marketplace.

One of the parcels acquired was to have been the site for the Islamic Center of Peoria. However, some neighborhood opposition put an end to that project. Meanwhile, MDC is planning a Q1 2017 construction launch on 83 Marketplace, indicating high interest from potential users.
