Denver’s Hotel Indigo Ready to Capture Visitor Demand Post-COVID

PCCP LLC recently provided a $30.2-million loan to McWhinney for the acquisition of Hotel Indigo Denver Downtown, a full-service 180-key hotel located at 1801 Wewatta St. The hotel’s lower downtown location is adjacent to Union Station, offering new development protection and capturing strong business and leisure demand as Denver emerges from the pandemic.

Built in 2017 as part of the Union Tower West Development, the hotel features 1,400 square feet of meeting space, a fitness center, a business center and a small pantry shop. Additionally, it includes an 85-plus seat restaurant that the new ownership will re-concept to cater to hotel visitors and attract customers from neighboring apartment and office buildings. In addition, McWhinney has plans to improve the building’s main entrance, and redesign the lobby and front desk area.

Hotel Indigo benefits from its location in the heart of LoDo within walking distance to Denver’s Union Station and Dairy Block, in addition to its proximity to a multitude of commercial spaces. It is accessible from Interstate 25.
