Del Mar HIghlands Hopes Free Uber Rides Attract Shoppers
Del Mar Highlands Town Center, a shopping center owned by Donahue Schriber, will be offering free Uber rides to consumers going to and from the facility. The landlord inked an agreement with the car service to provide rides to and from the center that cost up to $25.
The program will be in place for the next nine months or until $100,000 is spent on the endeavor. It is only the second time Uber has done such a promotion. The first was with The Grove in Los Angeles.
One of the reasons that Donahue Schriber is going with the program is due to tight parking at the 80-store facility, which was built in in 1989.
