Data Center Build Offered by Venyu
Cloud storage company Venyu, based in Baton Rouge, LA, is branching out into designing and building data centers. Venyu executives note that a growing demand for data storage options led to their decision to add a data center design-build to its offerings.
Venyu is building a new 40,000-square-foot, $20-million data center facility of its own in downtown Shreveport. The facility will replace the company’s existing center in Bossier City, LA, which the company has outgrown.
“We started building this last summer, and realized we had a level of know-how and could provide that service to others,” Curb said.
Costs for such centers range from $12 million-$15 million on the low end, and to hundreds of millions on the high side, he added.
