CyrusOne Strikes $490M Data Centers Deal
CyrusOne executed a definitive agreement with Sentinel Data Centers to acquire two enterprise-class data centers in Raleigh-Durham, NC and Somerset, NJ for a total purchase price of $490 million. The Dallas-headquartered buyer expects to close the transaction within the next 30-45 days.
As of the end of 2016, the two properties offered more than 160,000 colocation square feet, along with approximately 21 megawatts of power capacity. Close to 85% of the power capacity is leased. The Raleigh-Durham center at 4700 Six Forks Rd. consists of 420,000 square feet on 29 acres in the Research Triangle Park region. Meanwhile, the northeast property at 800 Cottontail Lane totals 430,000 square feet on 22.5 acres.
