CREW San Diego Hosts Virtual Event on Long-Term COVID Impacts
CREW San Diego will host a virtual event this week discussing the long-term impacts of COVID-19 on project design, space use and perceptions of public spaces. Experts from San Diego’s urban, landscape and architectural design communities are slated to be on the panel for this discussion.
Among the panelists lined up to share their insights include AVRP Skyport’s Howard Blackson, OBR Architecture’s Chris Bittner, McCullough Landscape Architecture’s David McCullough, San Diego City’s Alyssa Muto and Port of San Diego’s Penny Maus.
The panel will address:
– Hypothetical predictions on the community’s relationship with public space;
– Update on government ordinances and restrictions;
– Flex space and modular designs of large gathering spaces; and
– Transformation of public space design and accessibility.
This is the third installment of CREW San Diego’s COVID-19 series. The event will be held Thursday, Oct. 29, 2020, at 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
